LG launched four new sound bars recently which have built-in Wi-Fi, and streaming-media including Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Hulu Plus, Pandora and Vudu. As 2013 is shaping up to be an attack of sound bars from major brands, this move by LG spark another round of sound bar “feature war”.
All the models except the entry-level NB2030A comes with a wireless subwoofer and built-in Bluetooth. The top two models LG NB4530B and NB3730A are designed to match TVs 47″ and larger while the NB3530A and NB2030A will match 42″ TVs nicely. At $449, the top model NB4530A is powered by a 310W amplifier. It also has a HDMI input in addition to optical and analog inputs. This adds extra flexibility for connecting your source devices without resorting to using your TV as a switcher. With Bluetooth you can stream music wirelessly from your smartphone. A USB port is also provided if you want to play stored music files directly.
The LG sound bars are sleek and minimalist looking. The height is just 3″ tall so it will not block the remote sensors on your TV like some larger sound bars do. Wall mount brackets are also provided.
